Few desserts can compete with this strawberry and vanilla tart during the summer. The classic pastry cream made with real vanilla beans, paired with fresh strawberries, is such a timeless combination that it needs no introduction.
We add a layer of strawberry jelly to intensify the flavor, and the base is a Breton sablé crust, for its crispness, buttery taste and delicate texture. The tart is light and fresh, not overly sweet, and a true pleasure on hot summer days.
